Founder, in his own words
Steven Anglin
Founder, Scalo

I switched from running ads to fixing what happens after the click. That is where the money actually hides.
I used to run a paid media agency. I made over $100K for clients running their ads. But I kept noticing the same thing: the biggest wins were not in the ad account, they were on the store. I would send good, paid-for traffic to a page that leaked most of it. So I stopped chasing more clicks and started fixing what the clicks landed on. Now I do this full time: A/B testing programs and conversion-focused Shopify builds.
The way I work is simple. Diagnose before you prescribe. Most agencies redesign your store on best practices and a hunch. I do not touch anything until the data shows me what is actually broken. Then I fix that first, in the order that makes you the most money. How it looks is never the starting point. If something has to look better to perform better, it will. But that is a conclusion the numbers reach, not a taste I impose.
Here is the part most agencies will not say out loud. I run your store like an experiment, not a redesign. Same traffic, same ads, only the page changes. So when I tell you something worked, there is a real number behind it. And when a test I ran does not work, I tell you that too. You will always know, with evidence, whether what I did actually moved revenue, even when the honest answer is that my idea lost.
If you have hired an agency before and quietly wondered whether you got fooled, that feeling is the whole reason Scalo works the way it does. No portfolio decks. No vibes. Just tests, numbers, and the truth either way.
